Conditioning and Purification: When receiving Rudraksha seeds, you can purify them with a cloth containing a few drops of ghee (clarified butter). Apply the ghee to the seed and wipe out the ghee with a damp cloth 24 hours later. This can be repeated monthly to maintain hydration. Other sources may suggest dipping the full item in ghee for a 24 hour period however this method may not be suitable for certain jewellery items.
Energization: To enhance the spiritual energy of the beads, one could chant specific mantras, such as the "Om Namah Shivaya" mantra. Focus on your intention and visualise divine energy flowing into the seed.
Wearing Rudraksha: A Rudraksha mala can be worn around the neck or wrapped around one’s wrist. The Rudraksha bracelets can be worn on the right hand as it is known to promote the flow of positive energy.
Sharing: Ideally one should not share their Rudraksha items with another as it is believed that the energies are aligned with the wearer.
